Inside and behind Homes
We pore over stacks of research as part of creating every app. When we were building Homes, a few things were especially inspirational:
- Back in May, Ron Lieber wrote for The New York Times about Manhattan students who visit each others’ homes during the school day — and learn some uncommon lessons.
- Well before that, we were totally taken with James Mollison’s photography book, Where Children Sleep. Since it might be hard to get your hands on a copy, see some of his portraits here.
- More recently, we’ve been reading about how solar panels are getting ger-living families on the grid in Mongolia.
- You can find lots of other insights about the things we love hidden all over Homes. See how many easter eggs you can uncover in the app! Send us an email, tweet at us with your discoveries, or leave a review on the App Store — we’d love to hear from you.
