This summer, stay up late one clear night and look at the stars. Here are some of our favorite resources for further learning about what you see up in the sky.

  • Explore the constellations of outer space with the gorgeous app, Star Walk Kids. Just point your phone up and discover what you’re looking at.
  • Follow the flight of Philae’s friend Rosetta and other satellites with help from the beautifully designed site, Spaceprob.es.
  • Meet the man on the moon when he visits earth in the wonderfully touching and weird work of genius by Tomi Ungerer, Moon Man.
  • Follow humankind’s cosmic journey into space in the Discovery Channel’s When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions, six easily digestible episodes about all the trials and the glory.

As always, find more wonderful things for kids on Loves.
