Loves: sounds of summer

For road trips or trips to the grocery store, here are some bright tunes to fill your family’s ears:

  • The Nagoya, Japan-based musical duo Lullatone, recommended by Jessie, creates bright beats and cheerful melodies that they refer to as “tiny songs” (which of course we love).
  • If ever there was a soundtrack that celebrated childhood, it’s Jack Johnson’s Sing-a-longs and Lullabies for the film Curious George, recommended by Monique.
  • The Walkmen’s Walter Martin’s solo album We’re All Young Together, recommended by Josh, is full of memorable—but not maddeningly so—songs for kids and adults alike.
  • Peet Seeger might be the master of American folk songs that everyone can’t help but sing or hum. Kika recommends his classic album Birds, Beasts, Bugs, and Fishes.

As always, find more wonderful things for kids on Loves.
