An endearing story about friendship and hope.
Like all of William Steig’s work, this wonderful book features heartbreakingly beautiful language and a story that resonates with both adults and children. It tells the tale of the unlikely friendship between a mouse and a whale, who both find a way to help each other. A good friend gave me this book when my oldest son was born and I’ve been reading it to him ever since. Amos & Boris asks big questions about friendship and life without pandering to children in tone or storyline. We love this book and think it should be on every kid’s shelf.
