Three Tales of My Father’s Dragon

This classic trilogy is often referred to as “the perfect first chapter book series.” I agree with this sentiment. It’s also a great bedtime tale to be read aloud or under the blanket with a flashlight. The complexity and language level in the story of Elmer Elevator and the flying baby dragon are just the right speed for young readers. The adventure is nicely complimented with rich black and white illustrations and maps that bring meaning to the text and help children stay in step with the action.
