Wind

A short animation about a group of people who adapt to constant wind.

The residents of the gusty city at the heart of Wind have normalized living with a constant gale. Though the forces may seem to fight them, making simple acts like walking or wearing a hat a challenge, they’ve discovered other means of using the wind to their benefit. A mother ties her crying baby to a post, and the wind carries him like a kite. Ping-pong players don’t need to find opponents to carry on a rally.

One day, the wind stops and all comes to a screeching halt. Fortunately, for the sake of all, the wind soon returns.

Wind is the graduation film project of the German artist Robert Loebel, whose site is full of other whimsical shorts and illustrations.
