This is not a kids book, but it’s a book many kids will love. A Map of the World is a collection of maps by contemporary illustrators, storytellers, and children’s book authors. The maps range in scale from a single home to the entire earth. As someone who has always loved maps and wants to share that love with my kids it was exciting to watch my kids connect with the book. They dove into the illustrations, asked good questions, and got excited about making maps of their own. As a source of ideas alone, this book is well worth its steep price.
