Give Me That

A rabbit starts demanding things from other animals.

A rabbit roams the forest making demands from other animals (a tail from a monkey, size from an elephant) with the command “Give me that.” As he travels, he becomes more and more grand in his requests, but ultimately learns the importance of being his true self. This is a super book for very young kids who might be inclined to use the phrase “give me that” themselves. It’s a shame that more of author Usa Tanaka’s work isn’t translated into English, but you can see some of her other work on her website.
